Projects
Everything I've built.
The projects from my Common App come first, then three more I built on my own time. Open a folder to see what I did, or jump to the short version at the bottom.
- What I didIn 11th grade I helped bring Rochambeau's robotics club back after five years without one, and I ended up as chief strategist and vice president: running strategy for a team of ten and co-leading the meetings. We placed 2nd at MIT's international Zero Robotics competition. I treat game strategy like a math problem. For this year's Botball game I wrote a scorer that tests any plan before we build anything, then split the work between two robots based on where the pieces sit.

- What I didI wanted to understand what high-frequency trading does to retail investors, the people buying a few shares at a time. So I read the research on how manipulation works, wrote it up, and built my own detector. It watches one-minute price bars and flags the minutes that look like momentum ignition. On 20 US stocks and funds it raised about five alerts per stock per day, and shuffled data raised a similar number, which I take to mean the alerts catch unusual trading rather than proof of manipulation. The paper is on Zenodo and the code is on GitHub.

- What I didLookt is an app I'm building on my own for iOS and Android. You scan a food's barcode or lot code and it checks it against FDA, USDA and CDC recalls, so you find out in the aisle instead of after dinner. It also keeps watching what's in your pantry, so a recall announced next week still reaches you. It works in English and Spanish, and it's waiting on App Store review.

- What I didFamilies in Lebanon have been displaced, so three of us started raising money from here in Bethesda. I co-founded Lights for Lebanon and run it as executive director. We ran five grassroots campaigns in three months, bake sales included, and raised more than $2,000. It goes to aid partners working on the ground, like Beit el Baraka and the American Task Force on Lebanon.

- What I didI pitched my school a sports stats site, then built it: live scores, schedules, rosters and season leaders for Rochambeau's teams. I also created the Rochamrefs, a group of student scorekeepers with more than ten roles, so scores get entered live. Along the way I helped organise leagues for over ten teams and about 150 students, and co-ran a media day.

- What I didWhat I build on my own with an Arduino and a 3D printer, since 9th grade: an ultrasound radar that sees up to 4 meters, a CO2 sensor rig that logs its readings straight into a Google Sheet, and a motorized, 3D-printed V8 engine model.

Outside the application
Three more.
Built on my own time: a soccer injury-risk app, an outage map, and a market terminal.
- What it isPitchSafe is a free injury-risk tracker for amateur soccer players. You log your sessions, a weekly recovery check-in, your cleats and your injury history, and it turns that into a 0 to 100 risk score with cited, rule-based advice and a one-page report you can hand to a coach. It runs on a Cloudflare Worker with React, Clerk for sign-in, and a Neon Postgres database where every row is locked to its owner.

- What it isOutage Tracker puts power, internet and cellular outages on one live map. You report what's down where you are, confirm what other people report, and it helps you work out whether the problem is your router or your whole street. I built it with Next.js and MapLibre, with Supabase and PostGIS behind it, web push alerts, and a storm-warning layer from the National Weather Service.

- What it isThe Rochambeau Finance Terminal is a market workstation in the browser. In real mode it shows live quotes, charts and market movers. In simulation mode you can paper-trade with time controls, a news engine and a tutorial. Signing in keeps your watchlist and your simulation saves across devices. It's React, Vite and TypeScript with Supabase behind it.
